The city of Dallas has an exceptional collection of mid-century religious architecture reflecting the influence of modern design on the city of Dallas.  These churches and synagogues are some of the most remarkable and well-preserved examples of modernism ranging from the 1950s through the 1970s.  In partnership with Partners for Sacred Places, John Brown, a principal at Selzer Associates, Inc., will narrate a tour of these sacred places and present the impact of modernism on religious design.

List of churches on the tour (subject to change):

  • Fifth Church of Christ Scientist
  • Temple Emanu-el
  • Luke’s Episcopal Church
  • Monica Catholic Church
  • Michael and All Angels Church
  • Lovers Lane United Methodist Church
