Patricia Bernstein will discuss the legacy of Dan Moody, a twenty nine year old district attorney who put several Klansmen on trial in Georgetown, and went on to become the state’s youngest attorney general and governor. Bernstein argues that the trials were the beginning of the end of the Second Klan in Texas. This talk will also focus on Klan history in Dallas.
