Dallas History Items: Oak Cliff College

OCC Students

The Oak Cliff College for Young Ladies opened in 1892 in a building that had been recently converted from a hotel. The following photographs were, we believe, taken of students of this school. However, we are not quite certain of this; if you look at the picture of the volleyball team, you can see " '15 O.C.C." printed on the ball. The Oak Cliff College for Young Ladies was closed by 1907.

Unfortunately, we don't know who the identity of any of these young ladies. We welcome your input on the message board.

These images are from the Johnson Collection, A7787.
