Dallas in 1900: C. E. Arnold Photographs

Charles Erwin Arnold originally studied medicine but never practiced. He practiced photography instead, working as chief of micro-photography for Baylor Dental School and organizing Dallas' first police ballistics and crime lab. The Dallas Historical Society has nearly 700 photographs he took between 1898 and 1930.
