FEE SCHEDULE

General Information: The G.B. Dealey Library is open free of charge. Fees are assessed for photocopies, photograph reproductions, and other uses of the Library's materials.

• Patrons requesting remote research (by mail, telephone, etc.) are granted fifteen minutes gratis search time. Afterward, fees are $25.00 per hour, minimum one hour.

• Photocopies are 25 cents per page. We reserve the right to refuse requests for photocopies if, in our judgement, photocopying may damage the original material.

• Faxes are 50 cents per page and will be billed to the patron.

• Patrons filming or photographing the collections of the Dallas Historical Society must schedule an appointment with the staff and follow the G. B. Dealey Library's Regulations for Use guide. A Copy Request Form for Photographic Materials must be completed. There is a $75.00 per hour charge (minimum) one hour for both commercial and non-profit users. Further publication fees may apply.

• Electronic reproduction/distribution of images on the Internet or on digital media is prohibited without the prior consent of the Dallas Historical Society.

• Publication use applies to the use of a reproduction in print, film, video, or digital format. Permissions to publish granted by the Society entail one-time use only, with no other rights. All publications must include the following credit: "From the collections of the Dallas Historical Society."

• Requests for publication, re-use, or changes in use must be submitted in writing to the Librarian.

• All orders must be paid in advance.

• Policies and fees are subject to change without notice.

• Photos orders are processed by the Research Assistant.

• For prints from glass-plate negatives, add $15.00 per copy to the new negative cost. Additional time may be required for reproduction.
• Exhibition-quality prints are available. Exhibition-quality prints are handmade and processed on double-weight, fiber-based paper. Ask Research Assistant for price.
• Sepia and other brown-toned prints must be produced on fiber-based paper. Add 50% to the cost of an exhibition-quality print.
• Delicate items may require a while-you-wait service for reproduction. There is an additional $15.00 charge for this.
• Color transparencies may be rented at a cost of $50.00 for a 3-month period.
• A handling fee of $12.50 is added to all orders. Mailing fees are assessed as needed.

ALL NEGATIVES ARE THE PROPERTY OF THE G.B. DEALEY LIBRARY. IF IMAGES ARE SCANNED, A COPY OF THE CD OR DISK MUST BE PROVIDED TO THE G.B. DEALEY LIBRARY.

USE FEES

The following use fees are assessed in addition to photo-finishing costs. The non-profit rate applies only to educational, religious, and service organizations.

Mailing and curatorial fees are assessed as needed.
